In this design, my aim was to create a versatile piece that blurs the line between a stool and a side table, while exploring the interplay of shapes. The composition of the piece invites the viewer to engage with its visual and tactile aspects, discovering intriguing details upon closer inspection.

The contrast between the top surface of the stool/side table and its legs was carefully orchestrated to create a captivating visual effect. At first glance, the legs convey a robust and solid appearance, contrasting with thiner top surface. However, upon closer examination, the subtle intricacies come into focus. The edges of the feet reveal a carefully crafted beveled angle, strategically placed to accentuate the perspective and proportion of the overall design.

This deliberate use of beveled angles serves multiple purposes. Firstly, it enhances the dynamic nature of the piece, drawing attention to the unique silhouette created by the interaction between the legs and the top surface. Secondly, it adds a touch of elegance and sophistication, elevating the design beyond its functional purpose. By playing with angles and perspectives, this design creates an illusion of movement and depth, making it visually captivating from every angle.

In summary, this design concept celebrates the harmonious interplay of shapes and invites exploration of its intricate details. The carefully crafted beveled angles add an extra layer of visual interest, emphasizing perspective and proportion.
