The purpose behind this project was to create a cradle easy to assemble and store once your baby is all grown up. Knowing that having a baby can be quite expensive, I decided to create a cradle for newborn up to 6 months that is easy to assemble and disassemble as many times as needed. 

To do so, I used 5 pieces of birch multiplex (with a thickness of 12 mm) designed to fit perfectly together without the help of any glue or screw. Thanks to its design, you can easily disassemble the cradle and pack it up with you to go on vacation or to go see the grandparents with it for example. The design also focuses on the baby’s comfort and development. For example, the 2 side pieces allow the cradle to balance at the rythme you desired, so you will be able to rock your baby to sleep. 

Furthermore, on those lateral sides, I designed handles so you could easily move the cradle. In conclusion, my purpose was to create a simple product that would help parents during their baby’s first agitated months.
